Get to know Caroline López Nagai

Caroline Maria López Nagai is an associate in our Private Clients Group in Geneva. Her practice focuses on all aspects of trusts and international estate and succession planning, inheritance law and corporate law. She also has substantial experience in domestic and international civil and commercial litigation as well as in contract and commercial law.

Caroline M. López Nagai graduated from the University of Fribourg in 2004 with a bilingual (French/German) law degree and a specialization in European law after. She also spent a year at the Université Paris II Panthéon-Assas where she focused on International and European Law. During her studies, she worked as a research assistant in civil and comparative law at the University of Fribourg as well as an interpreter for major Japanese mobile operators. She then gained first professional experience at the Embassy of Switzerland in Tokyo before joining a leading Swiss law firm in 2006 as a trainee lawyer where she continued working as an associate after her admission to the Swiss bar in 2008. Caroline M. López Nagai then joined our firm as an associate in 2011. She is co-founder of the first Swiss law competition (Swiss Moot Court) organized on an annual basis in collaboration with the Swiss Federal Supreme Court.
